Life happens — appointments sometimes need to change, and we completely understand. This policy explains how cancellations, rescheduling and missed appointments work at Storeys, so everything is clear and fair for you, our team, and the clients waiting for an appointment. Last updated: July 2026.
Our Notice Period
We ask for a minimum of 48 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule any appointment. Your appointment time is reserved just for you, and 48 hours gives us a fair chance to offer that time to another client.
How to Cancel or Reschedule
The quickest ways to reach us:
Call or text us on 07722 102396.
Email [email protected].
If you can't get through outside salon hours, a text or email is fine — we go by the time you sent it, not the time we read it.
Cancellation Charges
48 hours' notice or more: no charge. Any deposit is refunded in full or transferred to your new appointment — whichever you prefer.
Less than 48 hours' notice: your deposit is retained, or a charge of up to 50% of the booked service applies.
No-show (missed appointment without notice): your deposit is retained, or a charge of up to 100% of the booked service applies. Clients who repeatedly miss appointments may be asked to pay in full at the time of booking.
Late Arrivals
If you're running late, please let us know — we'll always do our best to fit your full service in. If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, we may need to shorten your service or rebook you, and the late cancellation terms above may apply.
Deposits
Colour services, hair extensions, head spa treatments and wedding/occasion hair require a booking fee (deposit) to secure your appointment. Deposits are deducted from your bill on the day, and are fully refundable or transferable with 48 hours' notice or more.
Please note: extension deposits become non-refundable once your hair has been ordered, and colour appointment deposits are non-refundable if the appointment cannot go ahead because a required skin test wasn't completed.
Weddings & Occasion Hair
Wedding bookings are secured with a deposit and, due to the preparation involved, require 14 days' notice for cancellation or changes. Cancellations with less notice may result in loss of the deposit.
If We Need to Cancel
Very occasionally — through illness or circumstances beyond our control — we may need to rearrange your appointment. If that happens, we'll give you as much notice as we possibly can and offer you the next available appointment with your stylist, an alternative stylist if you'd prefer not to wait, or a full refund of any deposit paid. We'll never charge you for a cancellation on our side.
Sickness & Emergencies
We know genuine emergencies don't give 48 hours' warning. If you're unwell (please don't bring your germs to the salon — we'd rather rebook you!) or something unexpected happens, get in touch as soon as you can. We treat these situations with common sense and kindness, and charges are always at our discretion.
Questions?
If anything here isn't clear, just ask — we're always happy to help.
